Out-of-Shelf alerts (OOS) are typically produced at the store level, and sent by email. Below, a screenshot excerpt of a typical store level OOS alert email, enriched with barcodes for efficient handling by store personnel: Sample out-of-shelf (OOS) alert email

The analyzer engine produces data that can be leveraged by store managers to gain insights on OOS issues, and improve overall practices. The graphic below shows past sales of a single store over the last 4 weeks, enriched with indicators for past deliveries and OOS alerts. Visually combining both indicators and recent sales in the same view can help spot and understand unexpected sales of top products quickly, and is also useful to verify that our data is accurate:

More insight into potential out-of-shelf situations can be gained from the daily alert overview, listing all products in a store where we suspect empty shelves. Again with an excerpt of past sales and deliveries to provide context and help understand what may have caused the situation.

To investigate a specific item that has just been alerted, or in fact any product directly in the store, our offline-capable web app for tablet devices can be combined with a barcode scanner and provide valuable information right in front of the shelf:

An alert feedback form can optionally be leveraged to assess the alert performance over time, and can help us calibrate our models and algorithms to your specific store and customer behavior. Feedback results can be integrated right into the overview screens above. The language and wording of the user interface as well as alert emails can be tailored to client needs, as in the following screen in French:
